Here is a preview of my upcoming BDSM Tarot Deck: the first cards of each suit.
ABOUT THE DECK
I wanted to create a deck that celebrates sexuality and sex positivity. I want to help readers to connect with their divine, sensual selves and leave shame and guilt behind, especially when using these cards. I've always had aspirations of changing the world through my artwork and diversity, representation, and sex positivity lay the foundation of what I draw.
My deck is BDSM themed because BDSM, while unconventional, is structured with boundaries and rules, much like the practice of magic. The rules set in place ensure that every participant is safe, sane, and participating in activities consensually.
I believe that there is a clear intersection between BDSM and spirituality because to begin you must first learn how to practice safely to protect yourself. I truly believe that any magic should be done with consent of the participants and I'm making the cards with these basic rules in mind.
ASPIRATIONS
I want this to be a treasured deck that people show to their friends, and partners share a laugh with while also forming a deeper connection. I want people to use these cards to do personal readings with, to delve deeper into their own sensuality and to also normalize BDSM. I want these cards to help readers experience the secret parts of themselves and accept themselves—perhaps they can be used for shadow work if the reader is brave enough. I want these cards to be used for clients that have questions about relationships, sex issues, trust issues, or how to open themselves up to new and exciting experiences.
I see these cards becoming a favorite tool for open-minded tarot readers that can connect with their divine sensuality and share that gift with others. I see them being housed lovingly in a treasured box and hidden in a secret spot because these cards will keep the readers secrets without judgement.
I want readings with these cards to be a loving experience.
